I am interested in creating singular, original forms that allude to natural life cycles and human relationships. My inspiration comes from what I know: my family and friends, my gardens, landscapes and seascapes. While the structures of trees and plants frequently suggest an initial design, my decisions during the process of making and refining sculptures more often reflect meditations on social dynamics. I hope that these hybrid forms share a beauty with the natural world, and that they suggest rhythms common to all life.
